Classical Games #8: Morphy – Meek, New York (2) 1857

This is the eighth video in my series on classical games from the nineteenth and early twentieth century.

This game was played in 1857 in the First American Chess Congress. Paul Morphy and Alexander Beaufort Meek met in the quarter-finals. This was the second game of their match.

Morphy was White and Meek was Black.
